Who We Are
Timber Warriors works with insurance companies to handle all tree-related claims in the U.S. We respond to the site of the tree emergency, quickly, by dispatching local Timber Warriors Members. Our Members are fully vetted, licensed and insured, as well as trained and certified by the leading industry associations, the International Society of Arboriculture and the Tree Care Industry Association.
HOW IT STARTS
You or your insurance adjuster contact us directly when you have a covered tree damage event. From that moment, we do everything necessary to get the tree off of your house or other structures and to secure and protect your structure by installing a roof tarp or board up, as needed – while keeping you and your adjuster in the loop.
How The Process Works
Once we receive information about your tree claim, we will contact you, identifying ourselves as vendors for your insurance company and confirm that you would like to use our services. We will ask for a basic description of the tree and nature of the damage, along with photos if possible, so we may inform our Members and prepare them for how to perform services within policy limits, maintain safety, and access the damaged area.
We will also request photos of the tree, structure, and damage at that time.
An electronic authorization to complete the work will be sent to you through the Timber Warriors app (or via email or fax) so you can sign and return the document in order for work to begin. If it is a CAT Event and you are without phone or internet access, we can request your adjuster to authorize on your behalf.
Once we respond and arrive on site, our Members will take additional photos and determine if any additional crew or equipment is necessary in order to safely complete the job and prevent further damage to your structure or property. Our staff will communicate with you if additional people, protection, or equipment is needed, or if any insurance policy questions may arise during our on-site findings.
All tree debris is removed from the covered structure to allow for inspections and repair. It is possible that your policy may only cover a portion of the downed trees and debris in your yard.
It is important that you understand your insurance policy and communicate directly with your insurance adjuster if you have any questions regarding your policy.
We work closely with your carrier to ensure you aren’t unwittingly stuck with a bill for work we complete outside what your policy covers. Because we understand the insurance and arboriculture industries, we translate and explain to our Members what services need to be performed in order to stay within policy limits.
Debris will be removed according to the cap on the insurance policy. If you wish for our crew to leave any burnable wood, our staff can arrange that upon request. For more information about services, please visit the Services page.
Once the job is complete, our staff will request another electronic form to be signed and returned. This form notifies us of your satisfaction with our services. If the survey doesn’t meet an acceptable threshold, we will contact you to inquire how we could better serve homeowners.
Usually, Timber Warriors receives payment directly from the insurance carrier, but in some instances, the carrier may forward our payment for emergency services to you by mistake. In this event, we will contact you and explain what happened, what the balance is, and how to correctly submit payment. In addition, we can provide the contact information of your insurance adjuster, who can confirm their payments and the balance for services rendered.
Claim-related questions are better answered by your adjuster, but we are available 24/7 for questions about our service or the tree specifically.
If Timber Warriors is assigned by your insurance carrier, it is not necessary for you to get multiple bids for tree removal. We are pre-vetted by your carrier and have their clearance to perform the work and invoice them after completion.
